Top SUVs in 2018
There is no question that the SUV is an impressive piece of engineering. It dominates the road both visually and physically. Gone are the days of the slow bulky trucks. Now you have big roaring beasts that can speed up if you want to.
However, with so many car manufacturers on the market, you may be wondering which SUV is actually worth it. Surely some are better than others, right? Plus you want to wrap your car, which is why you need the best one you can get! So let’s see who wins the fight!
The Budget King
You don’t have to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds in order to appreciate the awesomeness that SUVs give you. You can enjoy it for much less. Our pick in this category is the Skoda Kodiaq. Being part of VW Group allows it access to top notch engineers, while still keeping the costs low. But not only that – it is pretty big for an SUV below the 30 grand mark!
This car gives you the freedom to enjoy a bit of off-roading as well. You can go through mud and rocks like it’s nobody’s business. However, to keep it perfectly clean and awesome, you may want to wrap it properly, so keep that in mind.
The Unexpected Success
The Jaguar brand has had its issues in the past, but it always managed to maintain its premium reputation. However, they are not really known to be an SUV brand. Yet that all changed with the Jaguar F-Pace. It is quite the capable machine and a good step up around the 40 grand mark.
But perhaps the success should not have been such a surprise. After all Jaguar and Land Rover are sister companies, with the latter being quite well-known for the awesome Range Rovers. The thing that makes the Jaguar special though is its overall build. It not only looks premium, but if you equip it with the bigger engine, it can give many sportier SUVs a run for their money!
The King of the Road
This category could have been won by the likes of Aston Martin Varekai, Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Lamborghini Urus, but perhaps that would not be fair. These are all quite the expensive vehicles to the point where they go beyond luxury.
That is why our pick today is Mercedes GLS 63 modded by AMG. This one will cost you a bit above the 100-grand mark but not without reason. It is a premium vehicle that offers a lot more than sheer size. It is very nimble and quite speedy. Plus the roar you get from it is extremely satisfying.
However, there are two drawbacks to it. For a luxury car it is a bit lacking in its interior. Of course, that is a matter of preference, but it is perhaps a bit behind. The second issue is more of a personal peeve – this is the king of the road, but not the king of the hill. Sure, you can have a bit of fun off-roading, but nothing super serious. This car is just not built for it.
